WHERE THERE'S SMOKE???

In my 51 years of life's experiences, there is one thing that has held true more times than not and that is an old saying my Mom passed on to me at an early age that "Where there's smoke, there's usually fire".

Given the present political and economic environment in which we now find ourselves, these words are echoing louder and louder. As you may recall, I wrote in a previous blog about my concerns for some of the issues that have been brought to light as late as yesterday concerning the over-stepping reach of the gov't into various aspects of our personal and private lives. At the time many may have dismissed my feelings as "far-fetched", but I ask you now to reevaluate your opinions, particularly given the announcements of the pay czar yesterday regarding limits on compensation.

Yes at initial view it looks like it only effects companies that received bail-out funds from the tax payers and many may say that why shouldn't the gov't have a say in what these people are paid and maybe that's a good argument. But don't limit your sight to only that. Let's look a little further into the legislation and the wording hidden deep into it's many pages that states to the effect:

"that the gov't may at it's discretion review and have access to all financial information from ANY company which it deems to be a substantial risk to the financial system of the USA up to and including limits and structures of employee pay"

Now that may not be the exact wording but the theory is the same. Think about that for a moment! How do we limit which companies fall into this category? Or can the gov't just decide for whatever reason they choose to mandate how companies are being run under the realm of them being a "potential" risk? Now hopefully it's not only me who believes that this kind of sweeping power is a bit over the "norm".

Typically I wouldn't be so alarmed but given the actions of this administration who at every turn has taken steps to bring down capitalism, devalue the US dollar as the market standard, make corporations the "evil enemy", despise anyone who earns and accumulates wealth, (outside of themselves of course), attacks anyone or anything that opposes their views and uses their power to control more and more of our individual lives.

So as they continue to march forward with their agenda under the guise of we "only want to help the impoverished and the minorities" who continue to fall for their hollow lies, they have put the wheels in motion to destroy the fabric of our democracy!

I do see some smoke coming from somewhere behind the curtain and although it may not appear to be a raging inferno that needs to be addressed immediately, don't be fooled...that is all part of the "grand-plan" enacted by the AXIS OF EVIL- (Obama, Pelosi & Reid) who want to distract and lull us into thinking that it is OK! Until such time that the embers they keep secretly stoking erupt into a fire so big that it scorches this country beyond recognition!!!

Keep your eyes and ears open and make sure those batteries are fresh in your smoke detectors...

Flame of Hope & Change...Not So Much!

This week the Obama administration and in particular the President himself endured another setback in his early leadership of our nation. After much deliberation and on again off again planning on whether he would personnally make the trip to Copenhagen to use his charm and gift for the speech to win the Olympics for his beloved Chicago, the bid fell short...way short! Even with the likes of Michelle and Oprah at his side (who was seen outside giving out cars to IOC members), Chicago went down in flames (no pun intended) as the 1st to be eliminated.

As Obama was quickly shuttled from the meeting to stem off even more embarrassment he did not miss an opportunity to speak into a microphone about the event. With the smugness of just having lost a pick-up basketball game during lunch, he stated that "sometimes you win and sometimes you don't" (quite profound from the man who invented modern speech as we know it don't you think?). But quickly he bounced back into true Obama form and blamed Bush for 8 previous years of deterorating international relationships as the reason for the loss. An thousands of miles away at almost the same moment Roland Burris (the Blogo appointee) from Illionis echoed the very same sentiment in the halls of the capital. (it's a good thing Obama kept his Blackberry so that they could "broadcast text" the party line throughout the Democratic party).

Now let's look at these comments. Who was it that at every chance to address an international audience condemmed the USA for all of their wrong-doings and painted a picture of an evil place worth numerous apologies to the world as a whole? I believe it was Obama himself who as late as last week at the UN even echoed such prose that it received praise from America haters Kudaffi & Chavez. Why would the world want to come here and spend their money?? If anyone should take responsibility for possibly contributing to the IOC decision to award the Olypmic games to Rio it's Obama himself. But then there's always the concept of responsibility that somehow has always been a "bridge too far" for the Liberals, but I digress.

This guy is so arrogant that he really believes that because of his charm the world will embrace him and he will win everytime he plays the game. The scary thing is that I believe he thinks it is a game! What he can't see is that he is swimming with sharks and his niavity and lack of experience in such matters is really showing. These countries will take a big bite out of his ass when he least expects it and won't even see it coming because he'll be too busy believing that they like him, how couldn't they? He'll be spending his attention on thoughts of how he wants the world to be and not how it really is. You know there's a big difference in organizing a bunch of low-rent folks who feel that they have been done wrong by the establishment and oranizing and protecting a nation from the real bad guys! I just hope that somebody gets a clue before it's too late.

I heard a comment the other day after Obama addressed the UN General Assembly and went soft on Iran much to the dismay of France & England and rambled on about a "nuclear-free" world that really hit the nail on the head. They referred to him as a "political adolesent". Now think about what comes to mind when you think of the definition of adolesent ?

Here let me help you;

Definition:

somebody in period preceding adulthood: somebody who has reached puberty but is not yet an adult
adjective

Definition:

1. experiencing adolescence: going through the period of adolescence, adolescent males
2. happening during adolescence: typically occurring during the period of adolescence
3. immature: involving, relating to, or meant for somebody who is immature

Now that should make you feel good...How's that hope & change working for for??
