At every turn, he indicated that the US should be beholding to the Europeans and apologetic for our previous and future actions, almost to the point that we should be sorry for our very existence. Again taking a swipe at his predecessor he sounded like a "spurned" grade school child because no one wanted to play with him at recess!
It was embarrassing for him to take the "I'll follow you" attitude instead of putting the United States in the lead position as it has been and deserves amongst the worlds nations. He soon forgets that if it were not for the positive leading contributions the US has made throughout history to help they very European nations he wants to bow to, they wouldn't exist...or at least in the state that are today.
I realize that perhaps we need their support under the "why can't we all just get along" mantra, but when the rubber has to meet the road, these countries have always taken the easy way out. Short changing manpower and money to protect their own interests. Somehow we allow them to get away with it and we burden the load. They continue to do business with countries like Iran and Iraq and quickly turn the other way when its time for the check to come!
And these are the folks we need to apologize to. Somehow I'm missing something here....
Oh by the way, here's a picture of Obama giving one of those speeches....
